Viewing Queenstown from Their Gondola

At the start of our day in Queenstown, clouds hovered around the top of the gondola run. Taking the chance that they would break up, we went up for a view of the impressive countryside. Fortunately, the weather cooperated.

Lots of different things make it to the top.

And lots of potential activities await. From dining …

to bungee jumping…

to luge riding…

On the day we were there, we met a Hungarian couple who had been prevented from sky-diving because of high winds.  They settled for sight-seeing.

Hang-gliding was also out, but ¬†here’s a picture from the operator to show the action.

Thank you for the great pics. It is a beautiful country.
How are you doing with no luggage now that you have been gone a while ?

Pretty well, but we have learned a few things. We’re planning a “real world” update on no luggage by the end of the week.
